April

 Happy One:

We celebrated one year of the sweetest little girls. I'm so grateful for the joy, snuggles and companionship these two have brought to our lives. Elsa still doesn't love his sisters but he tolerates them.

Easter:

We celebrated Resurrection Sunday at Meet in the Middle with our extended family but when we came home, we did Easter baskets!

Rowan's Future:

Rowan has decided to attend Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida next year. He will be pursuing a major in Finance with a minor to be determined. This sweet Christian university reminded Roger and myself a lot of Concordia and I really think it will be the perfect fit for Rowan. I'm thrilled he'll only be a little over an hour away!

Another blessing is that his friends Adrian and Cristian will also be attending SEU.

We loved that the whole family got to escort Rowan on the field on Senior Night.

All of the seniors had their numbers painted on the field. Love our #1.

Each senior got to have a member of their family throw them a pitch before the game. Row chose his Dad.

Baseball Senior Year:

Baseball is such challenging sport. The game is as much mental as it is physical. I watched Rowan have an awful at bat, be the third out of the inning, and then go right back into the game on the pitcher's mound. It requires such a mental toughness to shake off a disappointing at bat and come back focused and ready to throw strikes. I watch that same mental toughness when Rowan would walk a batter, hit a batter (or two) or get behind in the count. Baseball is so much more than a game and the life skills that I've watched Rowan learn are invaluable. He hit over .300 this year which was a goal, he played great in the field making the best catch of his high school career on the very last game. My highlight of the season was Rowan's last home game. Not only did he pitch an incredible game but he got to field the last out and he hit his only triple of the season. We are always so proud of you, Rowan. I will miss these nights at the ballfields but will treasure the ones we had forever.

Last Competition:

We had our final team competition of the season this month. Cora was outstanding. I just love watching her shine on the stage so much. She has group dances in addition to these solos but it's hard to find good photos of her.

Friend Birthday:

We celebrated my friend Kelsey's 40th birthday with a Lagree workout class (which I'm now hooked on) and a fun "white party" night out which included our husbands.

Nashville Part I:

Cora and I headed to Nashville for a long weekend for a Tremaine Dance convention but had the bonus of some time with Claire and family!

The girls ate lots of Sonic, In N Out Burger (they have locations in TN now!) and got 7 Brew as a special treat!

Nashville Part II:

Cora competed her solo Black Swan for the last time. She was gorgeous. Since this is her last time competing that solo, I can finally share it! Video is below.

As a big surprise and the cherry on top of a really incredible year of Tremaine for Cora, she won a hip hop scholarship!

SO SO thankful to be a part of six Tremaine cities with my girl. Can't wait til Nationals.

Mahjong:

I have learned how to play Mahjong and play weekly with a group of friends. It's so much fun! I had to document my first official Mahjong win.

I kind of can't believe this all happened in April... plus Cruz turning 16 and Meet in the Middle! What a busy but fun month.
