Normally January is the month that drags on and on but not this year! January was packed and absolutely flew by!
2024:
We had a simple night at home playing games, watching the ball drop and toasting with grape juice at midnight.
Baum Christmas:
We celebrated Christmas with Grandpa, Deona, Linda and Uncle Randy & Fam on January 3. We drove down to Cape Coral for the day and had a wonderful time.
Grandpa grilled ribs and burgers!
Miami Girls Weekend:
Mom, Amanda and I cashed in on our Mother's Day gift from last year- a girls weekend. We had so much fun in Miami staying at a beautiful resort, eating delicious food, shopping and even spending some time at the spa. It was much needed relaxation and girl time! So thankful for my mom and sister.
Middle School Basketball Wrap Up:
Cruz wrapped up his middle school basketball career this month. He actually missed their last game due to sickness but overall, had a wonderful season! He's looking forward to playing again in high school next year! (CRAZY!)
Tremaine Washington DC:
Coco and I, along with a couple friends from studio, headed to our favorite convention in a really fun city! Cora competed her lyrical solo and took convention classes. Highlights were getting to see the White House and getting to hug Ms. Tiffany, her favorite teacher and choreographer.
Sweet high schooler Emily was also there so she warmed up Cora and Ava before their solos.
Lyrical really forces a dancer to slow down and focus on technique. it's been a great challenge for Cora so far this year!
FORTY:
I had a wonderful time turning forty. My actual birthday was spent at Atelier in Playa Mujeres Mexico with my sweet friends Robin and Joni from Tennessee. The resort was fantastic, the food was delicious and the relaxation was much needed!!! A few days after I came back from Mexico, Mom came to town and we got to have four and a half wonderful days together shopping, eating and working on home projects! SO thankful.
Competition Kick Off:
Grammy's visited coincided with Cora's competition kick off show which is basically a dress rehearsal of all the season's competition dances! Cora showed off both of her solos and all SEVEN of her group dances! This is the only photo I got but it's a good one! :)
