I'm going to wrap a lot into one post!
My kids are slow teeth losers, just as I was. Rowan was so excited when this front one finally popped out and there's nothing more adorable than a toothless kid smile. Cruz has a couple of loose ones too so he's hoping to lose his first one soon.
My aunt and uncle brought their whole family down to Marco Island, Florida for a week of vacation and we were so excited to meet them in Cape Coral/Ft. Myers and spend a day of it with them. My kids absolutely adore my cousins' kiddos. They enjoyed lunch, playing at the park and some ice cream. They were so cute walking and holding hands! Cora (4), Summer (6), Rowan (8), Colton (almost 5), Cruz (almost 7) and baby Teddy, who just turned one, was riding in his stroller. Thanks for a fun day!
Our weeks have been consumed by baseball as of late. One of the boys has either a game or practice each day of the week except for Sunday's.
Some evenings have been a little chilly! Coco is a trooper and loves to cheer on her brothers and enjoys treats at the concession stand.
Cruz is playing in the Machine Pitch division. He is playing on a very experienced team so this season should be a great learning experience for him. Cruz's coaches are great and their help is very constructive which Cruz thrives on. Cruz is a great hitter and speedy as can be! I'll post some more pictures and videos as the season goes on.
It's been so cool to watch our Minor Leaguer so far. This is Rowan's first year with a kid his age pitching the ball. He's grown so much in his ability to watch for a good pitch instead of just swinging at everything like he might have last season. Rowan likes to do well and can be hard on himself if he doesn't. His favorite positions to play are second base and center field. Rowan's coach is wonderful as well. He's very loud and full of energy but he's so encouraging to the kids. Rowan feels like a valuable part of his team thanks to his coach and I love that.
A cat dress deserves a picture with a kitty! Coco loves her Elsa.
Story time with Elsa
Such a sweet kitten!
The boys had Grandparents Day at school this past Thursday. They were very excited to bring Grammy and Grampy and show them around. The kids did a program, made a craft, had snacks and enjoyed spending time in their classrooms. Grammy also got to come to the Blazer Olympics the next day and Grammy & Grampy got to cheer the boys on at baseball games. We had such a fun visit.
Both boys competed in the Blazer Olympics at school. It's like a Field Day where the kids compete in various events and earn ribbons.
Rowan 50 yard dash.
Cruz doing the Long Jump- which he took first place in.
Rowan competing in tug of war.
Rowan and his ribbons. Some of his first place ribbons came from the hula hoop contest, the obstacle course and the baseball throw. Rowan placed second in the long distance run which is huge for him. He's gotten so fast in the past year.
Cruz cleaned up the first place ribbons. For a small guy, he sure is athletic. He pretty much won every event he tried except for two. He got second place in hula hooping and third place in the 200 yard dash.
We kicked off Cruz's 7th birthday celebration while Grammy & Grampy were visiting. It was so fun to celebrate together and we can't wait for more fun celebrating our favorite *almost* 7 year old.
Cruz got lots of Cub's goodies including a Kris Bryant card, World Series baseball cards, Cubs cubs and a World Series edition of Sports Illustrated.
Cruz's favorite gift was a big kid activity tracker. It has a watch, digital number of steps, plus can work as an alarm and can keep track of various other things. Rowan got an "advance" on his birthday and received one too. The boys always have way more fun doing these kind of things together.
