Well, our Fall Break trip didn't quite go as planned. We arrived in Houston, ready to catch our connecting flight to Cancun only to receive a call from our hotel that they were cancelling all reservations and evacuating as a precaution for Hurricane Delta. We were all extremely bummed and not quite sure what to do next. The Southwest employees were so kind, they retrieved our bags off the plane and helped us rebook the next flight to Las Vegas.
Roger and I made a hotel reservation on the flight and headed to our hotel after we landed. We spent the afternoon exploring the city. We watched the fountains at the Bellagio.
Cruz has been eyeing Jordan shoes for quite a while and decided to use his own money to buy them for himself.
We always enjoy a good escape room. This one was really fun.

On the way back to our hotel, we stopped at the Mirage to watch the nightly volcanic eruption.
On our way out of town the next morning, we stopped at the epic Las Vegas sign.
We were SO excited to eat several times at In N Out Burger, one of the places we miss from our time living in Arizona! We also stopped at a local outlet mall to do some shoe shopping. We didn't pack any sneakers or closed toe shoes since we were planning on spending our trip at the beach!
After seven hours in the car, we were all happy to have arrived at our destination: Moab, Utah.
Our first stop in Moab was Canyonlands National Park. The views were amazing! The kids and Roger enjoyed climbing and scaring me with their antics! ;)
Next stop was Arches National Park!

We swam and ordered pizza to our hotel that evening. It was perfect after a long day of hiking!

On Friday, we drove to Snow Canyon State Park in St. George, UT
Snow Canyon had some fun slot canyons that we enjoyed hiking.
We finished that day at Fiesta Fun center.
Rowan was tall enough to drive his own Go Kart- a first for him!
He was nervous but so excited.
We also played a family round of mini golf. I love that our boys are old enough that an adult isn't guaranteed the win.
This was our first time mini golfing and legitimately keeping score for Cora!
Tabulating the scores... its as definitely a close game but Rowan pulled out the win, Daddy and Cruz were extremely close for second and third place. Coco and I gave it our best!
We capped off the evening playing some arcade games!
We drove from St. George to Las Vegas and arrived at the JW Marriott Las Vegas for our last night.
We spent the last morning at the hotel pool before heading to the airport.
This trip wasn't as we expected but it was still such fun family time. I am so proud of our kids, the way they rolled with the punches and the way they can make fun and adventure no matter what. This will be a Fall Break that we will always remember for sure!
