Our final baby is a teenager! We celebrated Cora all month long!
Beach Birthday Party:
Cora and her friend Aleyah decided that they wanted to celebrate their September birthdays together at the beach. Cora has wanted a beach birthday party for a couple of years but hurricanes prevented that! The girls decided to invite all of the 7th grade girls. They had a blast swimming, running around, eating pizza, snacks and birthday donuts. So thankful for these sweet friends.
Second Ear Piercing:
Cora and Haven's birthdays are within three days of each other so each year the moms and girls do a fun mall date together. This year, Cora and Haven requested to get their second holes in their ears. It was so fun for them to do together and they looks so cute!
Happy 13th, Coco Bean:
For her birthday, Cora requested a room refresh. She got a new bed frame (bye bye loft bed), a new makeup vanity and new bedding. We wrapped up the bedding so she would have something to open alongside a portable charger for her phone.
Birthday FaceTime with Grandma!
Thank you for the AE gift card, phone case and octobuddy!
Thank you Grammy and Grampy for the White Fox hoodie (shown above) and the Sephora gift card (which has since been spent).
Thank you O'Connor fam for the two makeup items off her wishlist!
Room Refresh
Thank you Grandpa and Deona for the Sephora gift card (also spent!). Our family knows this girl well.
Thank you Linda for the card and check!
Not pictured but thank you Randy Baum fam for the spending money for shopping in NYC!
Cora's birthday dinner ended being a little different than planned. Friday the 26th was literally the only night we could squeeze it in. Roger got stuck on I-40 in a twenty car pile up that left him stuck on the interstate for over three hours. Cruz came home from school with a 101 degree fever. Cora didn't want to push off the dinner any farther so Rowan, Hayden, Cora and myself went to Olive Garden and had a fun time! Dad and Cruz joined us for dessert later.
My Beautiful Coco:
You are officially a teenager! It's easy to believe because you have seemed like a teenager for a least a year or two. Your height, your maturity and the way you carry yourself all gave off a much older look. You are officially taller than your mom which you love. You are about 5 ft 6.5 in as of your birthday.
You are fiery and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. You remind me (in all of the best ways) of a marshmallow roasted in campfire. You are so soft, sweet and empathetic on the inside. You are the first one to shed a tear for someone hurting or sad. On the outside, you are energy, fire and a leader whether you know it or not. Kids tend to follow you without you even asking for it.
You are a hard worker. You throw every ounce of extra energy into dance and being the best that you can be. I love to watch you shine on stage.
I pray that as you continue through these middle school years of life, that you would always remember three things:
-your worth comes from who you as a redeemed child of God
-you are fearfully and wonderfully made
-dad and love you NO MATTER WHAT
Continue shining and being who God made you to be sweet, Coco Bean. You can do all things!
