Happy New Year:
We celebrated the New Year at home together. Rowan went out with his friends but was home by 10.
Tremaine Washington DC:
We started 2025 with a fun dance convention and competition with friends. Cora competed her lyrical solo and earned a third place in category! There were thirteen dances in her category! She was also a scholarship finalist after their jazz and ballet auditions. We had a wonderful time together and a wonderful time with friends. Always proud of my girl.
We saw Stephen Nedoroscik in the airport. He was on the mens Olympic gymnastics team and also Dancing With the Stars.
Sweet Emily is such a good mentor and warmed Cora up physically and mentally
The girls!
Invincible she is! :)
Her friend Chloe got 4th place in the Musical Theater category.
We traveled with some of the older girls from the studio who are on Tremaine Performance Company (big dream of Cora's one day).
Here are some snippets of Cora's hours in convention classes incase you're curious as to what that looks like!
Cheer:
Cora wrapped up her 6th grade cheer season and ended up really enjoying it. The stunting they did towards the end was her favorite part!
Rocket Launch:
Sixth grade built rockets and launched them for their family and friends. Grammy was visiting and got to come along too.

Grammy:
Competition Kick Off:
Cora's dance competition season officially kicked off with their showcase. We (Grammy included) got to see all of her group competition dances, plus two of her solos. So proud of our Sis!
Happy 41 to Me!
I had the most fun birthday celebrations and felt so special. Mom and I shopped, ate our favorite foods and spent the best quality time together over my actual birthday weekend. My sweet family showered me with cards and gifts and I got two separate birthday dinners with my dance mom friends and school mom friends.
Baseball Season:
Baseball season is kicking off a little bit early this year. So excited to watch our favorite second baseman's Junior season!
JV Basketball Wrap Up:
Cruz's team had a really great season. They had a couple of really cool wins against large public schools. Cruz continued to shine as point guard, setting the tone for the game and leading his team. He made some incredible passing plays, improved on his shooting this year and out dribbled kids much bigger than him. Grammy, Grandpa and Deona all got to witness a game this season. Cruz and I made a highlight reel of some of our favorite moments from the season. He's #20
Chalk Festival:
We closed out January with SCS's annual chalk festival. None of my kiddos won but I enjoyed being able to see their artwork.
Rowan worked with his friend Christian....
Cruz worked with his classmate Connor......
Cora and her friend Subella
January brought some super chilly weather and grey days (the kids even got a special "dress warm" day at school where they didn't have to wear their uniforms but could wear sweatpants and sweatshirts) but we also had some of the most beautiful sunsets.
