The theme of March was dance! We were so busy but I loved every second with my Coco Girl. We attended two competitions and two conventions this month!
March Dance:
Masquerade Dance Competition:
Contemporary Solo: Black Swan- Platinum
Lyrical Solo: When I Look at You- Platinum
ID Dance Competition:
Black Swan- Iconic Platinum
When I Look at You: Iconic Platinum
So excited for 7 Brew after solos!
Tremaine Chicago:
Coco and I hopped a plane after getting off the cruise ship and enjoyed a weekend in Chicago.
Coco was a scholarship finalist
and won a scholarship. We're not sure how she did that since her Year Long scholarship hasn't run out yet but I guess she's that fabulous! :)
Shopping and Giordano's with the cousins was the best!!
Tremaine Daytona Beach:
We headed to Tremaine in Daytona Beach a few weekends after. This time, Cora competed her lyrical solo.
She had the best group of cheerleaders...
and got to be a cheerleader herself for little Mila!
Cora performed the very best that I've ever seen her perform this solo. It's dedicated to Rowan for his Senior Year.
That hard work and beautiful performance payed off as she earned first in the lyrical category which had a total of 16 lyrical dances!
Ready for Convention
Scholarship finalist with teammate Chloe
Beach Walks:
The beach is my happy place these days. There's just something about meeting a friend, walking, being in the sunshine and getting a little "vacation fix" before continuing on with activities, dinner, homework and routine.
March Senior Baseball:
Can't believe the end of watching Rowan play baseball is in sight.
The Varsity boys volunteered with the Miracle League. This is always extra special as their teammate's brother who has Down Syndrome, is a part of this league.
One of the other boys' little sisters took this picture! :)
Tournament Winners!
Sandcastle Evangelism Field Trip:
7th grade took a field trip to Siesta Key to share the gospel with fellow beachgoers by way of sandcastles. Each group got this cool setup complete with buckets, shovels, tools and a mountain of sand. They worked together in groups to creatively share the Gospel. Cora's group decided to carve our an empty tomb complete with a "narrow path" leading to the tomb and a "wide path" leading to the ocean or destruction. It was neat to have people ask the kids what they were doing which led them to share.
Sweet girls!
I promise Cruz was a part of March too. He ended up playing JV baseball (more to come in April) but has otherwise been a great cheerleader for Rowan, he's been practicing driving preparing for getting his license in just a few days and just being an all around great, sweet and helpful kid.
We spent our Spring Break sailing to the Bahamas as a family with a few added guests! As a treat for his senior year, we let Rowan bring along his best friends Cristian and Adrian. The boys included Cruz as well and were the best foursome. We hardly saw them! They ate so much food. They ate with us in the dining room at night, then headed to the buffet and finished up the night with some slices of pizza. They played every sport offered, worked out in the weight room, hot tubbed, and played video games in the evenings. Roger, Cora and I kept busy at the pool and came back quite tan, which was Cora's ultimate goal. The four of boys shared an interior room and Rog, Cora and I had a balcony across the hall. and it was really just the best week.
Sis was ice cream queen!
We had to search the boys out on our sea day and spotted them in the midst of a volleyball tournament.
Pretty much where we parked ourselves during our time on the ship.
Coco participated in the dance competition
About as dressed up as we got!
Our first stop was in Nassau. We walked around a bit
bought a football at the market
obviously got Starbucks
dropped Roger off at a cigar shop
and headed to the beach!
The afternoon brought beautiful views of Nassau
Sailing away...
Our final day was spent at Royal Caribbean's private island called Coco Key.
We got tickets for the Thrill Waterpark and the kids had a lot of fun riding the slides all day.
The only pic I got of my three babies...
Rowan, Adrian and Roger headed back to the ship early but Cruz, Cristian, Coco and I stayed and continued to enjoy the slides and the waterpark before we walked back.
Liberty of the Seas was a fun ship for our first Royal Caribbean cruise.
We arrived back to a cloudy Miami, got the shuttle back to our car and drove back home just so Coco and I could turn around and fly to Chicago! More on that later. :)
SO thankful for this Spring Break and watching my boys with the best friends. I'm so grateful that God brought A and C into Rowan's life. We prayed long and hard for him to find his people and we couldn't have asked for better friends.
