Christmastime is Here!!!

The most wonderful time of the year is here! The whole family was excited to put up the tree today. We got a new, taller tree this year and we absolutely love it. It fills up our living room so nicely. 

We had our traditional pizza lunch and the kiddos got their first gift of the season- an ornament.

Sissy got a gymnast ornament. She's become quite the little acrobat this year. She's getting close to doing a handstand just like her ornament.

I decided to do a golf theme for the boys ornament. After I found this golf cart ornament, I couldn't quite find another golf ornament that I liked as well. I ended up getting both boys the same ornament and they were so excited about them.

He's so mellow these days and just loves being a part of whatever we're doing.

Thanksgiving!

We had a fabulous day celebrating all the ways in which God has blessed our family. This is our first Thanksgiving here in Florida. Last year on Thanksgiving, we began our cross country move. It's hard to believe that we've lived here a year. It's been a fabulous year and for that we are truly grateful. 

A co-worker and friend of Roger's joined us for the day and for dinner. He brought delicious mac and cheese and pecan pie! 

Our Thanksgiving night tradition is a popcorn dinner and the first Christmas movie of the season.

We watched The Santa Clause. The kids thought it was pretty funny.

The kids filled out thankful placemats during dinner so I wanted to remember what each one wrote.

Rowan: my family, friends, the world, God, food, water, school, our house

Cruz: my family, food, having no school on Thanksgiving, my friends

Coco: God, my family, restaurants, Brothers, Disney

Now begins the most wonderful time of the year! We are so excited to put our tree up tomorrow! We have a busy December in store. I can't wait.

The O'Connor's Visit

My sister Amanda and her family planned a rather spur of the moment trip to Florida to visit us! We had lots of fun plans including going to the boys' school to watch Cruz's Thanksgiving program, visiting the park, going to Disney and bringing Jade to Awana. Roger and Nate also had a bunch of guy time planned. Unfortunately, a stomach bug ran through the group. Rowan had been sick a week ago Saturday. It was kind of a one and done deal with him and he was better by the next day. Cruz got sick Wednesday night, the day before the O'Connor's came. Before they left, the bug hit Jade, Jemma and Roger. Nate got it last night after they arrived home. Amanda, Coco and I remain the lone survivors. We still managed to have a blast though, in spite of sickness and do most of our planned activities. Rowan and Cruz were obsessed with Jemma, they hardly gave her any space the entire visit. Cora and Jade played so well together. They wanted to hold hands everywhere we went and were just so excited to have a playmate.

I didn't get a picture but Cora was thrilled to bring Jade as her guest to Awana and even shared her Awana bucks as it was store night. Thanks for coming to see us Mand and family! We love you guys!
