Kidsfaire

On Saturday we went to the Phoenix Kidsfaire with some friends. There were lots of vendors, rides, shows, and even a petting zoo. Obviously, the animals were Rowan's favorites. The light in the stadium was not great so sorry for the grainy quality of the pictures!

Disneyland

5 Quick Blurbs about our trip:
1. Rowan slept like a champ in the hotel room. We were worried after the Washington D.C. fiasco a couple months ago. Rowan did only sleep 10 hours a night instead of his usual 12. He also took one 30 minute nap each day as opposed to 2.5 hours. I am hoping he goes back to his normal routine. :-) Rowan and Roger had fun bouncing on the beds and wrestling in our hotel room.
2. Our favorite ride at Disney: Pirates of the Caribbean. We went on that one five times. The lamest ride? Well, according to Roger it was Snow White, according to Alison it was Winnie the Pooh. Rowan loved the rides though. He wasn't scared a bit. I was amazed at how many things he could actually do there. Disney is definitely geared towards small children and families!
3. Since we had the 3 day pass we were able to go to Disneyland each morning and evening, since it was walking distance from our hotel. We did other various things in the afternoons including visiting Laguna Beach.
4. Rowan wasn't scared of the characters but he didn't love them either. We only stood in line to meet Mickey and Goofy. We figure when he's older, he might be more interested in this part of the experience.
5. I know it sounds cheesy but there truly is something magical about Disneyland. Even Roger felt the magic. :-) We are so blessed to have been able to go and enjoy time together as a family. Saying that we had so much fun barely touches the surface about how wonderful our trip was!
Getting ready to head to Disney!

Roger & Rowan on Main Street

Our favorite ride!
Rowan loved meeting the goats and wanted to climb in with them!

Rowan did enjoy pulling on Goofy's ears.

Ha. This picture was pushing it on so many levels. I got what I wanted though. Rowan, with Mickey, in his Mickey shirt, with his Mickey ears. Not a great expression but you can't have it all! :-)

Rowan preferred the sand to the ocean. He did get brave enough to dip his feet though!

Rowan ate 2 pieces of pizza..... crust and all!

This is one of my favorite shots from the whole trip!

Rowan with his souvenir dog from Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes, I know he's sunburned. Believe me, I felt TERRIBLE.

Chowing down some chocolate ice cream. After eating his, he stole Daddy's smoothie and finished that up too.
Snuggling in bed reading stories with Daddy.

Rowan is ready to go home!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Yep, we're goin' to see Mickey! 2 weeks from tomorrow we are going to pack up the car and head off to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA for 3 days. Roger received a free trip to Disneyland from work so we will be staying at our hotel and going to the parks at no cost to us! Since we have a 3 day park hopper pass, we plan to do Disney for a bit each morning and then visit the beach, Hollywood, and other attractions in the afternoons.

I saw an adorable white t-shirt with a Mickey silhouette at a boutique online. It was rather expensive though so I recruited Grammy to make Rowan a special Disneyland shirt. I think it came out great! Rowan can't wait to wear it when he meets Mickey Mouse.
