Playing Catch Up

Life has been busy but at the same time, it's felt relatively low key.

My Birthday:

We celebrated my birthday with a weekend in Orlando. We shopped, ate, and spent the day at Hollywood Studios! It was the best family time.

Snow Day:

We have had quite a bit of snow and ice this winter season! Our first snow day off of school was in January and then we proceeded to have SIX more.

Starquest:

Coco got to have her first dance competition of the season IN PERSON! No one minded the masks or extra precautions. Everyone was just so happy to be performing and

The girls won a high gold medal and 4th place in their division.

Each dancer was only allowed one spectator at the competition but a fellow dance family (with two dancers in company) only needed one of their spots so they gave their second one so that Roger could be there too!

Rowan 12.5:

Ahhhh, only six more months until we have an official teenager in the house! Rowan continues to be such a good kid. He's part little kid and part big kid and I love it. He'll still snuggle on my lap but can also be counted on to "babysit" his siblings and take care of household chores. He continues to love math, science, baseball and video games!

Rowan has waited to be able to play school baseball for a LONG time! So excited for him.

Florida #1:

I got to spend a few days in Florida with Roger tagging along while he worked. It was fun to see all the people, things and places he talks about. Mom came down to stay with the kids and they had the best, if not a little bit interesting, time. Cruz's class had to quarantine the week Mom was here! We ended up deciding to have her keep all the kids home from school so not only was she Grammy but distance learning coordinator for kiddos who haven't had to do that all year! Thanks Mom! We also did our yearly birthday shopping trip when I returned.

Valentine's Day:

We're down to one elementary school kiddo who gets to have a Valentine's Day party! The class room moms are the only parents allowed in the classroom for the parties thanks to Covid. I'm so thankful to be the coordinator for Cora's and to get to enjoy some treats and games with her class.

Knighting Ceremony:

The second graders have been working hard through out the past month to become a Knight, a fun GCA second grade tradition. Coco had to serve her family as a page and a squire before she could early her way to knighthood. The celebration ended with a knighting ceremony!

Florida #2:

Rog & I had planned to take the kids to Florida for the long President's Day weekend. We even left them for a day/night with Grandpa and Deona so that we could celebrate Valentine's Day together! While we were gone, Nashville got a HUGE snow and ice storm that shut everything down for a week. Since school was cancelled anyways, we decided to ride out the storm in sunny Florida. We tagged along with Roger as he traveled around the state for various work meetings/events. The kids and I played, swam and ate while Roger worked. It was the perfect way to spend the Nashville snow week. Time with Grandpa, Deona and Linda was an even better bonus.

Thank you Grandpa and Deona for showing the kids a GREAT time. They had so much fun go-karting, playing mini golf, swimming, staying up late, watching movies, playing games, riding in Grandpa's awesome van and eating their favorite Outback!! Untitled

The kids and I ate all our favorites while Roger was working.

Coco even got to try her first Starbucks Frappucino!

Date Night: Axe Throwing:

We returned from Florida to freezing temps and lots of snow and ice but we still ventured out for some axe throwing and dinner at our fav restaurant, The Rutledge. Thankful for any time I can get with this guy... and now that we have a built in baby-sitter, its getting a lot easier!
