The Boys' New Cars

Today was an exciting day in the Baum family as far as cars go. We said good-bye to Roger's Infiniti G35 and hello to his new Audi A4.... (he'll send better pics and more details later :-) ) Part of the deal Roger made with the Audi dealer was that they throw in a kids ride on toy Audi for Rowan. Here are some pics of the boys in their coordinating automobiles.

Rowan was the first one to ride in the new car with Roger. Roger agreed to keep a carseat in his car as long as it matched

Happy 1/2 Birthday, Rowan!

Today we had a little celebration in honor of Rowan being 1/2 a year old. I made him half of a cake with 1/2 in marshmallows. He didn't get to eat any but Roger and I can assure you that it was quite tasty. Our big boy had a busy day including a check up at the doctors, shots, and a few presents. Rowan is growing very consistently. He checked in at 15 lbs 14.5 oz & 27.5 inches. His pediatrician said that she was impressed that Row is sitting already. She also said that I got lucky that he is babbling "mama" already because most babies get "dada" down first since that sound is easier to make. :-) Roger and I are so thankful to have Rowan in our lives which is why we decided to celebrate this milestone and our special little boy!

I had to let him hold the box because he was trying to dig into the cake.

Being 6 months is fun!

Rowan Talks

Rowan has recently started talking up a storm. We've heard strings of "la la la" and "ba ba ba" but today he started "ma ma." You have to listen closely to hear it in the video but towards the end he does say it! :-)

More Sitting

Rowan is doing an amazing job with his sitting! Its cool to see how quickly he's become an avid sitter. Now, as you look at these pictures you might be thinking to yourself 'Gee, hasn't Alison ever heard of something called a BIB???' Let me assure you that Rowan has been through two bibs today... finally around 4:00 I called it quits and let him drool all over the shirt. :-) Two things to note about the picture of Rowan and Cooper. Number one, Cooper's head is not that large compared to his body, its a weird picture :-). Number two, please forgive Cooper's uncouth position. We need to get him some doggy shorts or something....

Monkeying Around

Today Michelle and I took our boys to the Wildlife Park Zoo & Aquarium. It was a gorgeous day outside- about 80 degrees. The boys truly had a fun time looking at the animals and "strolling" around.

Big Sitter

Here is a video of one of Rowan's first attempts at sitting. He sat for about 30 seconds total (it took me a while to find the camera). At the end of the video he falls and crashes into my knee. Some crying ensues as he hit his cheek but not to worry, he's OK! :-)

P.S. Aunty Jill, the CARS cold pack helped his bump!

Birthday Fun

Daddy gave Rowan his bath tonight so Mommy could have some birthday time to herself..... actually, I just wanted to watch the Bachelor! :-)
